Trip to Altanta

Christy watched Miles and Annie while we finished packing and then took us to the airport.... We owe her about 0.5 million dollars.

Miles and Annie (with backpack) weighed 41 and 38 lbs respectively at check in.

Annie and Miles sure were interested in all of the other goodies in the seat pouch.. but this fascination only took up a few minutes of the 4 hour flight.
(I'm feelin kinda sick)

The flight was uneventful. Miles and Annie watched Avatar and ABC giants on the portable DVD player. I don't know what parents did on cross country flights before portable DVD players. They probably had to talk to their kids, color, sing show tunes or other kind of wholesome activity.

We got in late, and after a few spins around the pole on the tram, Grandaddy Tricky Ricky picked us up and took us to the Waffle House for a breakfast dinner.

(HIT PLAY)

Miles and Annie ate breakfast for dinner (waffles), Rick and Susan ate dinner for dinner (ham burgers) and I had some sort of fusion breakfast/dinner for dinner (hash browns with chili, beans, tomatoes, hot peppers, etc.). I also added a chicken biscuit cause I thought that I would still be hungry).

I miss Waffle House from my college days in North Carolina!! I liked my spuds scattered, smothered & covered!! If memory serves- I think the translation means with fried onions & cheese. Who knows...I just remember late night trips for yummy grub!

Annie, if I had TEN BUCKS for every time I toasted you a waffle, I would have a TON of BUCKS. You guys look like you are having a great time in North Carolina!
