Goa India

I arrived in Goa India after 36 hours total on 4x different planes. The first thing I did was eat a veggie sandwich. They say not to drink the water, but I forgot that they also say not to eat the lettuce. I bought a bottle of pepto pills that I have been taking with ~50% positive results.

The Portugese settled here some time in the 1400's. There was a missionary named Francics that passed through here teaching the word on his way to China. where he ate some lettuce and died. The other missionaries buried him and continued on their way converting the heathen Buddhists to return to exhume his remains one year later. Oddly enough all of his skin was still intact. They returned his body to Goa and removed one arm to take it back to the Vatican for his official sainthood hearing. His body is still on display today in this very old church that we visited. Very Odd. The church was finished in 1505.

The silver thing with the glass contains the "visible" remains of St. Francis.... Very weird.

Paul, I'm so glad that you "LET US" have an insight into your world travels. Please take of yourself, watch out for leafy greens, and large insects with exo-skeletons. Love you, sweetie.
