It was during one of those heat waves. 110 deg on the field, sweltering hot.
The Williams seats are very very close to the field and just up the first base line. You can definitely call balls and strikes and encourage the ump to visit the optometrist when he blows a call. That day Darryl was doing a good job calling balls and strikes, Hibaldo Jimennez (the rockies ace) only threw a bunch of balls and served up a bunch of knocks for the Phills. I feel that my heckling "princess hi'ball'do" got him flustered in the 4th inning when the Phills batted around.
Now I can cross "Hi-5ing the Phanatic" from the list of things I have to do before I die.
Susan and I are the ones in the middle. The Ice cream came in the red batting helmet that I am wearing. Susan Barry and Mary Ann had one as well, but did not want to wear theirs. I bought the 80's logo #20 t-shirt before the game.
This was a huge mural by the stairs going down to the restaurant near the box seats. You could find your phillie great. There is Mike Schmidt just to the right of center. What a great experience / lots of fun and we all lost 5 lbs of water weight. Thanks Barry and Marryanne.
The Phillies come to San Diego next weekend... 200$ round trip Flight on South west out of BWI? Want to come out and Stay with us?
